In Texas, some Republicans expressed frustration with the recent agreement between the U.S. and Iran. David Farrington, a 79-year-old Republican-leaning independent in Fort Worth, Texas, said the agreement focused too much on the Strait of Hormuz and not enough on Iran’s nuclear program.
Donald McBride, a 28-year-old independent in Plano, Texas, opposed going to war with Iran and wants the war to end. He believes the original objective of the war was unrealistic and that continuing to fight is not in the best interest of the United States.

Nationally, the poll suggests that most Americans want the conflict with Iran to end. About 53% of U.S. adults said American military action against Iran had ‘gone too far,’ which is a slight decline from 59% in March.
The poll also found that about one-third of U.S. adults approve of how Trump is handling Israel, with tensions rising between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Trump over recent Israeli attacks in Lebanon.
