A Triangle couple, Angela Howard and Henry Hegler, is postponing their wedding by seven hours to make sure they can attend the Stanley Cup Parade. The couple had their first date on October 28th, 2025, at a Canes game and have been inseparable since.
A Love for Hockey
Hegler said one of the first things they bonded over was their love for hockey. The couple was inside the Lenovo Center for game 6 when they realized the parade might coincide with their wedding day.
They were supposed to have their wedding ceremony at 11 in the morning, but it’s now 6 p.m. The couple said there is no better way to spend the morning of their wedding day. Hockey’s been like a core point of their relationship, just like something they’ve always done together.
