Cincinnati has been added to the MICHELIN Guide Great Lakes Edition, a globally recognized restaurant and hotel guide. The city will join six other cities in the new edition: Cleveland, Detroit, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and Pittsburgh.
Culinary Recognition
The MICHELIN Guide’s anonymous inspectors are already scouting for culinary gems throughout the region. The full restaurant selection will be revealed in 2027 at the MICHELIN Guide American Great Lakes Ceremony.
Cincinnati has been growing in the culinary scene, with chefs and mixologists nominated for culinary awards, including the prestigious James Beard Awards. Many restaurants have been named among OpenTable and New York Time’s lists for top-rated or must-visit restaurants.
According to Julie Kirkpatrick, President & CEO of MeetNKY and Interim President & CEO of Visit Cincy, securing a spot in the newest expansion of the MICHELIN Guide is a huge opportunity for the region. National and international food critics have already begun tuning in to the unique culinary energy across the community.
