The National Western Center in Denver has announced Kate Girotti as its new CEO. Girotti, who has worked as an executive in venue management, will oversee the center’s redevelopment project, which includes a $1.6 billion expansion to 250 acres.
Redevelopment Plans
The plans include the CSU Spur campus, a new headquarters for the Western Stock Show Association, an event center, a livestock center, and a reconfiguration of the historic stockyards. Girotti plans to make parking a priority, as it has been a common concern among partners.
Girotti sees opportunities for community programming and events, including concerts and homegrown events. She will work with the sales team to drive programming and bring new events to the campus and its CoBank Arena.
