US Hockey Players Drafted

Olympic gold medalist and Wisconsin Badgers hockey player Caroline Harvey was selected first overall by the Vancouver Goldeneyes in the 2026 PWHL Draft. Harvey is the second American in PWHL history to be drafted first overall, following Taylor Heise who was selected first in 2023.

Four other Badgers were also selected in the draft. Abbey Murphy was drafted second by the Seattle Torrent, Tessa Janecke third by PWHL Las Vegas, Laila Edwards fourth by PWHL San Jose, and Lacey Eden fifth to PWHL Las Vegas.

In total, 31 U.S. players were drafted during the 2026 PWHL Draft, with the first five picks and 14 of the first 24 picks being American. The draft included players from various states, including Illinois, Ohio, Maryland, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania.
