Jennifer Lopez is sharing a story about a challenging time in her career when she worked 98 consecutive days without a break, leading to a health scare.
The 56-year-old actress and singer recalled this period on the “SmartLess” podcast, where she discussed juggling major projects, including filming the 2002 psychological thriller “Enough” and promoting her second album, “J.Lo.”
A Health Wake-Up Call
Lopez said she counted the days and realized she had gone nearly 100 days without any time off work. The demanding schedule eventually took a toll on her health. She said she sat down and suddenly couldn’t see, like something had gone over her eyes, and she couldn’t move.
She was taken to the hospital, where doctors told her that her body had essentially shut down due to exhaustion. Lopez has since spoken about the importance of balance after pushing herself to extremes early in her career.
