A carjacking suspect, Juan Luis Estrada, led police on a chase from Culver City to downtown Los Angeles, hitting at least eight pedestrians, including two children on an e-bike, and several vehicles during the rampage.

According to the Culver City Police Department, Estrada stole a car at knifepoint in downtown LA and then traveled to Culver City, where he hit four pedestrians. He then struck another vehicle and fled the scene. Police located him using surveillance technology, and a car chase ensued.
The chase ended when Estrada crashed into another vehicle head-on in the drive-thru of a McDonald’s in downtown Los Angeles. The victims, ranging in age from 15 to 70 years old, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were in stable condition.
Estrada faces charges including attempted murder and felony assault. It is unclear if he has an attorney to speak on his behalf.
