A small wildfire, known as the Pelada Fire, is burning southeast of Santa Fe, New Mexico. The fire has burned four to five acres about six miles southeast of Santa Fe on Forest Road 79, which is also three miles north of Canada de Los Alamos.
Crews are using four fire engines and one helicopter to fight the flames. Smoke may be visible from the Santa Fe foothills, Canada de Los Alamos, and I-25 near Arroyo Hondo.
