A San Antonio family was surprised when San Antonio Spurs players Victor Wembanyama and Julian Champagnie visited their son, Jesiah, at Methodist Children’s Hospital. Jesiah had undergone appendix surgery and was recovering when the players stopped by.
A Special Visit
According to Jesiah, the players treated him like family, chatting with him and giving him autographed shirts. The visit was a welcome distraction from his recovery, and Jesiah said it meant the world to him.
The players spent several hours at the hospital, visiting with other patients and gifting them signed memorabilia, stuffed animals, and jerseys. Jesiah’s mother, Alyssa Trinidad, said the visit put a smile on her son’s face and on the faces of many other kids at the hospital.
