Ohio Governor Hopeful Amy Acton Visits Cincinnati

Dr. Amy Acton, the Democratic candidate for Ohio governor, made a stop in Cincinnati on Tuesday to discuss the affordability crisis facing Ohioans. Acton spoke with members of the Greater Cincinnati Building and Construction Trades Council, focusing on the struggles of working-class individuals and families.

Affordability Crisis

Acton emphasized the need to address the shortage of healthcare workers and the difficulties faced by families in finding affordable childcare. She noted that many Ohioans are working harder than ever but still struggling to make ends meet.

Acton’s campaign has strong ties to the Cincinnati area, with her running mate, David Pepper, having served on the city council and as a Hamilton County commissioner. Her opponent, Republican Vivek Ramaswamy, is scheduled to hold an event in the area on July 14.

The election to replace term-limited Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine is set for November 3.
