Jordan Spieth’s Close Call

Jordan Spieth, a three-time major champion, had a close call during his Monday practice round ahead of the U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills. Spieth hit a wedge shot into the green, but it almost hit a person standing nearby.

A Narrow Miss

Spieth was seen tensing up and saying, ‘Oh God, Jesus’ after realizing how close the shot was to hitting the person. His caddie, Michael Greller, had given him the green light to hit the shot, but the person walked into the path of the golf ball at the last second.

Spieth has been known for his ability to get out of difficult situations on the golf course, but this time he was just relieved that no one was hurt. The incident was a reminder of the unpredictability of the game and the importance of being aware of one’s surroundings.
