According to end-of-year data, 52 percent of students in grades one through eight in Oshkosh met or exceeded reading proficiency. This marks a 155 percent increase from the previous scores.
Oshkosh Board of Education member Barbara Herzog was impressed that middle school students showed the greatest improvement.
Meanwhile, Oshkosh students made a slight improvement in math skills. The iReady results show 46 percent of first-through-eighth graders met or exceeded math skill expectations. That’s a two-percent increase from last year.
