A man is fighting for his life after he accidentally shot himself in the Redland area of Miami-Dade County on Tuesday, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies responded to the area of Southwest 190th Street and 203rd Avenue at 2:28 a.m. There, they found the man who had been shot “after his firearm accidentally discharged while he was handling it,” MDSO said.
He was flown to Jackson Memorial Hospital South Trauma Center in critical condition. A neighbor identified the victim as someone who lived in the home.
