Another superb day is ahead with full sunshine and low humidity. Highs will be knocked down a couple of degrees from yesterday, generally near 80 this afternoon. We’ll be a bit cooler on the North Shore and out through Cape Ann thanks to a light sea breeze.
Looking Ahead to the Week
Tomorrow sees more of the same, with a more pronounced sea breeze at the coast. This will push the 80s back to Metrowest, outer Route 2 and into Southern New Hampshire (away from the Seacoast). We’ll see an increase in afternoon clouds as well.
Our big focus of the week is Thursday for rain and the potential for thunderstorms. We’ll see the steady stuff move in during the morning – especially in northern Massachusetts/southern New Hampshire – before we pause and wait for the storms to pop.
Right now, it appears the best chance for severe weather is across Western Massachusetts and Connecticut. If we get some clearing and sunshine, we could see these strong storms move into the area late in the day. All the other ingredients – warmth, humidity, upper-level energy – are ready and waiting.
