A two-vehicle crash in Bullock County, Alabama, resulted in the death of an ALDOT worker last month. According to Alabama State Troopers, 48-year-old Amad Jackson of Montgomery was killed in the crash, which occurred on Thursday, May 28, just before 10AM.
State troopers say Jackson worked for ALDOT and was riding on a trailer that was hit by a dump truck driven by 53-year-old Ronnie Johnson of Hurtsboro. Jackson was thrown off the trailer and pronounced dead at the scene.
The trailer was being used to complete roadway maintenance and was being pulled by a pickup truck driven by 46-year-old Gary Battle of Uniontown, who is also an employee with ALDOT. Battle was injured and taken to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery for treatment. Johnson, the driver of the dump truck, was not injured.
The crash happened on Alabama Highway 51, approximately seven miles west of Hurtsboro.
