Victims of a serial criminal in Warren County are speaking out after his death in prison. Avedis Ralph Seaward was convicted of two counts of aggravated robbery in January 1982. Two women, Catherine Greer and Karla Edwards, say they were kidnapped, raped, and robbed by Seaward.

Greer sat down with her daughter Rebecca Wilde to discuss the incident. She said Seaward walked into the Bellevue, Ohio, bar where she worked in 1981 and asked for a ride. After getting into her car, Seaward pulled out a knife and ordered a customer who was riding with them to get out, then kidnapped Greer.
Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell wrote a statement on Seaward’s death, saying, ‘He finished his life exactly where he should have – in prison, separated from society.’ The women say they were not given a chance to speak in court and felt Seaward should have received a longer sentence.
