The Tama Police Department has announced the death of K-9 unit Creed following a battle with a serious illness.
Creed was humanely laid to rest, and the department said in a Facebook post that he faithfully served the citizens of Tama with unwavering loyalty, dedication, and courage.
More than a police dog, Creed was a trusted partner, a protector, and a valued member of the department family. His impact on the officers and the community will not be forgotten.
Creed helped assist with several narcotics finds, including 14 successful tracks locating missing or wanted subjects.
