NASCAR Leans into American Heritage

NASCAR sent a strong message to America by celebrating the country’s heritage at the recent race in Pocono. Denny Hamlin won his third consecutive race, cutting Tyler Reddick’s points lead to 19.

American Pride on Display

The race started with a unique command to start engines, given by Benjamin Franklin and Betsy Ross. This gesture was seen as a nod to America’s founding fathers and mothers, and a celebration of the country’s 250th anniversary.

However, not all aspects of the weekend were positive. In the ARCA Series, driver Dystany Spurlock unveiled a controversial paint scheme that sparked heated debate among fans. The scheme, which was intended to commemorate Juneteenth, was met with criticism and outrage from many who felt it was inappropriate or insensitive.

Other News from the Weekend

Brad Keselowski was involved in a wreck and blamed Bubba Wallace, although it appears that Wallace was not at fault. Kyle Busch’s love of In-N-Out Burger was also highlighted, as hundreds of burgers were flown in for his private ceremony. Jimmie Johnson had a good time at Le Mans, and Denny Hamlin won the race at Pocono, with a banana thrown at him during his post-race interview.
