The 26th annual Arts on the Green festival in Crestwood drew thousands of art lovers over the weekend. Over 70 artists were hand-picked by art jurors to be featured at the festival. Those in attendance could purchase art pieces, watch live demonstrations, and view the endless assortment of art.
The executive director of the Arts Association of Oldham County said their goal is to bring art to people who live in the area. The festival aims to inspire a sense of creativity, curiosity, and pride in the community.
In other local news, The Dream Factory of Louisville hosted its annual summer picnic for kids with chronic illnesses at Kentucky Kingdom. The nonprofit grants dreams to sick kids, and a board member said there’s nothing better than helping these families.
The Louisville Bridal and Wedding Expo was also held, featuring gowns, DJs, and representatives from top reception venues. One couple found the expo to be helpful in planning their wedding.
