A 68-year-old Minnesota woman, Kathryn Jane Woessner, was found alive after being missing for three days. She was discovered almost completely submerged in mud by two men, Adam Sandbeck and Mike Gravalin, who were riding an off-road vehicle on trails around Backus and Hackensack.
Woessner’s van was found stuck in the muddy area, and upon closer examination, the men discovered her whispering for help. They pulled her out and called 911, and she was taken to a hospital after being rescued.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Woessner had been reported missing and was last seen on June 3. The incident occurred around 80 miles away from her hometown of Alexandria.
