Golfer Wyndham Clark Trolls Canadian Open Crowd

Wyndham Clark, playing in the RBC Canadian Open, donned a Team USA Jack Hughes jersey, which did not sit well with the Canadian crowd. The crowd showered Clark with boos as he walked to the 14th tee box.

Clark’s Bold Move

Clark, 32, leaned into the boos, pointing to his jersey before taking it off for his tee shot. However, he put the jersey back on after hitting his shot, and the boos continued. Despite the crowd’s reaction, Clark went on to birdie the 14th, 15th, and 18th holes, finishing at 11-under for the tournament.

Clark’s move was seen as a nod to Jack Hughes’ golden goal over Canada in the Olympics. The Denver native seemed to enjoy the crowd’s reaction, jokingly touching the brim of his cap and saluting the crowd after his birdie putt on the 14th hole.
