Construction is underway for a new mountain bike trail in northwest Round Rock, the city announced via social media on June 2. The project will include just over 5 miles of trails, featuring technical and skills trails, cross-country trails, and a pump track.
Project Details
The city approved a contract worth $833,155 with KOM Trails to build the bike park, which will be paid from the city’s self-funded construction budget. According to Parks & Recreation Department Director Rick Atkins, the trails will have minimal intersections and will rely on street parking. The trails will only be open to traditional bikes, with dirt bikes and other motorized bikes not allowed.
The project is expected to be completed later this year or early 2027.
