A shooting incident occurred near the 4600 block of West Wall Street in Midland, Texas, on Friday morning, leaving one person dead and 11 others injured.

Police responded to the sound of gunfire and worked to clear the area, deploying armored units and calling in other state agencies for assistance. As of 10:30 a.m., police were still working to resolve the standoff with the shooter.
The city has set up a family reunification center at Midland Memorial Hospital for victims and residents, which can be reached by phone at (432) 631-4689. The United Way of Midland is also accepting food and donations for those affected.
No police officers are believed to be hurt at this time, and the city has not released any information about the suspect or the victims.
