Police in Midland, Texas, are engaged in a standoff with a suspect following an active shooter incident on Friday morning, according to the Midland Police Department.
Officers responded to gunfire coming from a building in the 4600 block of West Wall Street and quickly secured the area, said Police Chief Greg Snow in a statement on Facebook.
Efforts to bring the standoff to a safe resolution are ongoing, and it is not yet clear if anyone was shot.
