The Santa Barbara Foresters suffered their first loss of the season, falling 2-1 to the visiting Orange County Riptide. The Foresters, who had scored 41 runs in their first four games, were held to just one run on two hits.

Santa Barbara’s lone run came on a safety squeeze in the fifth inning by Marcus Greis of TCU, scoring Addison Klepsch. However, the Riptide answered with two runs in the top of the seventh inning to secure the win and improve to 6-1 on the season.
