Interstate Bridge Replacement Project Faces Delay

Rep. John Lee is urging federal transportation officials to delay approval of the Interstate Bridge Replacement Project, arguing that the proposal has grown far beyond its original purpose and now carries a price tag estimated at more than $15 billion. In a letter to U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, Lee called for additional federal scrutiny, citing concerns about project costs, scope changes, congestion impacts, tolling, and the inclusion of light rail.
