A massive fire broke out at Turfway Park Racing & Gaming in northern Kentucky on Wednesday night. The fire began in the muck pit, an area of the facility used for managing horse manure. Florence city officials said crews would monitor the area through the evening to put out any remaining hot spots.
No injuries were reported. The fire involved compostable organic material, according to the city. While smoke may still be visible, it’s not toxic, the city said.
