Epstein Survivors Oppose Blanche’s AG Nomination

A group of 19 Jeffrey Epstein survivors has come out in opposition to Todd Blanche’s nomination as President Donald Trump’s permanent attorney general. The survivors are concerned about Blanche’s participation in secret White House meetings to discuss how to contain the political fallout from the Epstein files.

Concerns Over Blanche’s Handling of Epstein Files

The survivors raised specific concerns about Blanche, who played a key role in overseeing the release of the Epstein files after Congress passed a law mandating it. They stated that Blanche has consistently minimized legitimate concerns about how the files have been handled, including problematic redactions and the exposure of survivors’ personal information.

The White House has defended Blanche’s handling of the Epstein files, with spokeswoman Abigail Jackson stating that President Trump has done more for Epstein’s victims than anyone before him. However, the survivors argue that Blanche’s actions have failed to deliver transparency and accountability.

House Oversight Committee Investigation

The House Oversight Committee, led by Chairman James Comer, is investigating the federal government’s handling of the Epstein and Maxwell cases. Comer has met with Epstein survivors and plans to ask Blanche to testify in front of his committee in July.

Former Attorney General Pam Bondi has sought to distance herself from the process, testifying behind closed doors that Blanche was responsible for overseeing the release of the Epstein files. The DOJ has released approximately 3 million files compelled by Congress, but Bondi was pushed to explain why another roughly 3 million have not yet been released.
