A new library locker has been installed at the Liberty Recreation Center in Plano, allowing card holders to pick up and return library items at their convenience. The locker is funded by Plano Library Friends, a non-profit organization that works to elevate the city’s library experience.
How it Works
Card holders can use the city’s library app or online catalog to choose any book from the city’s five libraries. They can then scan their card or enter their card number on a locker screen to pick up items ready for checkout. The locker can also be used to return library items.
According to Emily Moore, President of Plano Library Friends, ‘These lockers are just one example of how community support can expand opportunities for learning, connection and discovery across Plano.’ This is the second library locker to be installed in Plano, with the first one launched at the city’s senior recreation center last year.
