The Allen Independent School District (ISD) is set to consider a $226 million budget for the 2026-27 school year. A public hearing on the proposed budget is scheduled for the June 15 board of trustees meeting.
Budget Breakdown
The proposed budget projects $220.9 million in revenue and $226.2 million in expenses as part of its general fund. District officials are currently projecting a shortfall of $3.8 million within the general fund. However, they anticipate adding a comparable amount into the district’s fund balance at the end of the current year.
The budget is broken down into three separate funds: general fund, student nutrition fund, and debt service fund. The board of trustees will hold a public hearing for the 2026-27 school year budget before taking action later during the same meeting.
Residents can attend the meeting at 6:30 p.m. on June 15 at 610 E. Bethany Drive in Allen. The meeting will also be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.
