Powerball Jackpot Reaches $238M

The Powerball jackpot has grown to $238 million with a cash value of $106.1 million ahead of the Wednesday, June 10, drawing. Since its launch in 1992, Powerball jackpots have been won over 400 times. States like Indiana, Missouri, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin have had the most jackpot-winning tickets.

How to Play Powerball

Powerball tickets are $2 per play and can be purchased in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Players can buy tickets at various locations, including local convenience stores, gas stations, or grocery stores. In some states, Powerball tickets can be bought online, depending on local jurisdiction.

To play, participants need to pick six numbers: five white balls numbered 1 to 69 and the red Powerball, which ranges from 1 to 26. An optional “Power Play” can be added for $1, increasing the winning amount for all non-jackpot prizes. The “Power Play” multiplier can multiply winnings by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, or 10X.

Powerball drawings are held on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday nights. If no one wins the jackpot, the cash prize will continue to grow.
