Orange County Power Outage

Thousands of residents in Orange County are without power due to an outdoor fire and downed trees. According to Duke Energy officials, 1,597 customers are affected by the power outage.

Investigation Underway

The Eno Fire Department shared photos of the downed trees and the large outdoor fire on social media. The cause of the trees falling is still unknown. The area between Cole Mill and Pleasant Green roads near US-Highway 70 is currently closed.

Power is expected to be restored by 11 p.m. Crews are working to investigate the cause of the downed trees and the outdoor fire.
