Iola Car Show Plate Details
The Iola Car Show plate was developed in collaboration with the state Department of Transportation and celebrates the event’s history and spirit. According to Iola Car Show Executive Director Joe Opperman, the plate is more than just a registration option, as it allows people to proudly display their support for the event and its nonprofit mission.
In addition to standard registration fees, each Iola Car Show plate includes a $25 annual donation that supports the charitable mission of the nonprofit Iola Old Car Show, Inc. These funds will be used for ongoing improvements, youth programs, community initiatives, and over 120 volunteer and nonprofit groups connected to the event.
The Iola Car Show and Swap Meet have been held for over 50 years, attracting approximately 120,000 participants each year. The event has an annual economic impact of more than $30 million and has contributed over $10 million to community organizations and volunteer groups since becoming a nonprofit.
