A small fire broke out in the attic of a condo unit at the Mission Heights complex in De Pere, Wisconsin, causing an estimated $5,000 in damages. The incident occurred shortly before 10 a.m. on Sunday when light smoke was seen emanating from an open window at the 6-unit complex located at 1415 Mission Heights.
Quick Response from Fire Departments
De Pere Fire Rescue, along with the Fox River Fire District, responded promptly to the scene after being dispatched at approximately 9:48 a.m. Upon arrival, firefighters entered the affected unit and discovered burning insulation in the attic area. They quickly began pulling down the ceiling to access and extinguish the fire.
The firefighters successfully brought the fire under control in less than 20 minutes, ensuring that the damage was contained and no further harm was done to the property. Ventilation was also carried out to remove any remaining smoke from the condo unit.
No Injuries Reported
Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the fire. The swift action of the fire departments helped prevent what could have been a more serious incident.
