Clearmont is bringing back its parade this year as part of the Clearmont Day celebrations, marking the 250th anniversary of the United States. Organized by the Clearmont Historic Group, the parade will take place on June 27. Sandy Hirz, director of the Clearmont Historical Center, announced that there is still time for participants to enter the parade lineup. Currently, there are 15 entries, and those interested can pick up an entry form at the Center or contact Sandy Hirz or Robert Prusak for more details.
Full Day of Festivities
The Clearmont Day celebration will kick off with a pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. at the Clearmont Fire Hall. A 3-on-3 basketball tournament will follow, running from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the parade starting at 10 a.m. Throughout the day, vendors will be set up in Branding Iron Park, and a free lunch will be provided at noon by local sponsors including the Powder River Energy Foundation and Clearmont Creek FFA.
In addition to the parade, attendees can enjoy an antique car show starting at noon and the popular duck races at 2 p.m., sponsored by the Clearmont Ambulance Board. New to this year’s lineup is the Clear Creek Dog Stampede, featuring Dachshund and Corgi races at 3 p.m., with registration beginning at 2:30 p.m.
Live music by Ken Wacker will entertain guests from 1 to 5 p.m., followed by a social hour with a cash bar at 5 p.m. The day will conclude with a community dinner at 6 p.m. For those interested in being a vendor, Amy Rowe can be contacted for more information.
