Jet fuel prices have doubled since the onset of the Iran conflict in late February, affecting commercial airlines significantly. Kolin Jones, founder and CEO of Amalfi Jets, reported a significant increase in requests for travel to Cannes and the Monaco GP. “Lots who could afford it but flew commercial are now happy to pay more for the safer option,” Jones explained.

Jason Middleton, owner of Silver Air Private Jets, emphasized that private aviation often sees increased demand during global events, citing the Iran conflict, the COVID-19 pandemic, and unrest in South America as examples. “It’s like a safety thing…People feel safe when they have control,” Middleton said.
