His tenure at Wylie East was marked by impressive achievements, including leading the Raiders to consecutive 10-win seasons and an average of 34.7 points per game in 2025.
Gardner’s Proven Track Record
Gardner’s leadership as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Wylie East has been pivotal in the team’s success. Under his guidance, the Raiders achieved a historic 10-0 regular season in 2025, a first for the program. Over the past four years, the team has maintained an impressive 39-7 record, averaging 38.5 points per game.
With experience as a head coach and coordinator in both Texas and Oklahoma, Gardner brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role at McNeil. His previous positions include head coach at Glenpool High School in Oklahoma and roles within Plano ISD. A native of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, Gardner played college football at the University of Central Oklahoma.
