Suspects Flee After Shooting in Orange City Parking Lot

In Orange City, a 46-year-old man was shot in the lower back during a verbal altercation in the parking lot of Ollie’s Bargain Outlet at Market Place Plaza on Saturday morning. According to the Orange City Police Department, the incident occurred around 10:40 a.m.

The victim and the suspect were strangers, and the altercation escalated when the suspect, described as a Hispanic man, fired at the victim. The suspect was a passenger in a black four-door Mazda driven by a White female. Following the shooting, the suspects fled the scene in the vehicle.

The victim was transported to a hospital, where his injuries were deemed non-life-threatening. The police are continuing their investigation into the incident and are seeking any information from the public that could lead to the identification and apprehension of the suspects involved.
