El Paso’s Josiah Johnson Advances to NCAA Track & Field Championships

El Paso’s own Josiah Johnson is making waves in the world of collegiate athletics. A graduate of Immanuel Christian High School, Johnson has secured his place at the NCAA Track and Field Championships, representing Northern Arizona University.

At the NCAA West Regionals, Johnson delivered an outstanding performance in the 400 meter hurdles, clocking a personal best time of 49.07 seconds. This remarkable achievement not only won him the quarterfinal race but also set a new school record for Northern Arizona University.

Johnson’s journey will continue in Eugene, Oregon, where he will compete for a national title at the upcoming NCAA Track and Field Championships. His dedication and hard work have earned him the title of this week’s Community Champion, a recognition sponsored by Albertsons and the El Paso Community Foundation.
