Community roots and future plans
Owner Chelsea Sallese founded Sallese & Co. with wellness and community in mind, inspired in part by her daughter’s battle with leukemia. The salon showcases independent makers, displays local art, and regularly hosts community events.
Sallese serves on the Lakeshore Business Improvement District Board of Directors, working to sustain downtown Kenosha’s growth. She also co‑founded Ktown Cleanups with Donny Stancato and Jason Hedman, a volunteer effort that organizes park, beach and neighborhood clean‑ups under the motto “Stronger Together. Cleaner Together.” The next cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, March 20, 2027, at Lincoln Park.
In addition, Sallese co‑hosts The Co‑Parenting Chronicles Podcast with Jenna Gilliland, a Kenosha‑based show that discusses parenting, blended families and everyday life.
