THE TULSA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE is calling on community members to assist in identifying a man captured on surveillance video who allegedly tried to use a stolen credit card at a convenience store near East 45th Street North and North Lewis Avenue.
Incident background
On October 28, a woman who was early voting at O’Brien Park reported that she had placed her wallet on top of her vehicle. After a short time she discovered the wallet was missing and returned to the park, but was unable to locate it.
The following day, October 29, the woman received an alert that someone had attempted to use her credit card at a nearby convenience store. Detectives obtained the store’s surveillance footage, which shows a person matching the description of a suspect attempting the transaction.
Law‑enforcement request
Detectives are asking anyone who may have seen the individual in the video, or who recognizes the person, to contact the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers at 918‑596‑COPS. Any information, no matter how small, could prove vital in locating the suspect and preventing further fraud.
Why community help matters
Credit‑card fraud not only harms the victim financially, but also undermines trust in local businesses and the voting process. By turning over tips, residents help protect their neighbors and keep Tulsa’s public spaces safe.
How to submit a tip
Tips can be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers’ hotline or online tip portal. The Sheriff’s Office assures that all information will be handled confidentially and investigated promptly.
The investigation remains ongoing, and the Sheriff’s Office will provide updates as new leads develop.
