Las Cruces, New Mexico – The New Mexico State University Aggies are gearing up for an exciting 2026 soccer season as they enter their fourth year in Conference USA. The season kicks off with an exhibition match against Grand Canyon on August 7, setting the stage for a competitive lineup.
Key Matches and Travel
The Aggies will open their official season with a home game against Arizona State on August 12. This marks the Sun Devils’ second visit to Las Cruces, with their last appearance in 2023. Following this, the Aggies will hit the road for back-to-back games against the University of Arizona on August 16 and Abilene Christian on August 20. Notably, NM State secured a victory over Abilene Christian last season in Las Cruces.
On August 23, the Aggies will host Long Beach, continuing a rivalry for the second consecutive year. Conference play begins on September 27 with a home game against FIU, marking their first meeting since 2024. October will be a busy month for the Aggies, featuring seven games, including a road match against Kennesaw State on October 1 and a home game against Liberty on October 4. The Aggies will then travel to Huntsville to face Sam Houston on October 11 and meet Missouri State for the first time in program history.
The regular season will conclude with road games against Middle Tennessee on October 22 and Western Kentucky on October 25, followed by a home finale against Jacksonville State on October 31. The 2026 Conference USA Women’s Soccer Championship will take place from November 8-13 in Newark, Delaware, hosted by the University of Delaware.
