Hey Darlin’ Saloon Opens in Houston’s Heights Neighborhood

Hey Darlin’ Saloon, a new addition to Houston’s Heights neighborhood, officially opened on May 28. The saloon is located at 4002 N. Main St., taking over the space previously occupied by Space Cadet Bar and Grill, which closed in 2024. Owners James Cone and Derek Dobbins have transformed the location into a vibrant community hub.

A Community-Centric Venue

The owners aim to provide a space that is both pet- and family-friendly during the day, while also serving as a welcoming gathering place for the local community. With a focus on cold beer, great food, and friendly service, Hey Darlin’ Saloon aspires to become a local staple in the Heights.

The establishment underwent a complete remodel before opening, with the goal of creating an inviting atmosphere for all visitors. The saloon’s operating hours are from 4 p.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday, extending to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Supporting Local Traditions

Hey Darlin’ Saloon’s opening highlights the ongoing development and revitalization within the Heights area, contributing to the local economy and providing a new venue for residents to enjoy. The saloon’s emphasis on community and family aligns with the values of many local families, offering a space where neighbors can connect and unwind.
