Buffalo brothers Quentin Littleton, a junior at Canisius High School, and his younger sibling Grant, a freshman at Olmsted High School, have turned their love of sports into a community‑focused nonprofit. Their organization, We Got Next, is dedicated to helping young athletes who lack the financial means to purchase the gear they need to play.
First donation brings smiles to a local football player
The brothers’ inaugural donation came after a coach reached out about a 9‑year‑old player named Killeon Williams, who plays for the Carter Boyz youth football team. Quentin and Grant surprised Killeon with a set of new football cleats, gloves, and additional equipment. “It felt amazing to see the look on his face,” Quentin said. “He looked happy, and that really brought a smile to my face.”
Why the brothers started We Got Next
Growing up playing on local teams, the Littletons know firsthand how rising equipment costs can keep families from letting their children participate. “We grew up playing with these teams, and we know how hard it is sometimes to get equipment because prices are going up,” Quentin explained. “We wanted to give back to our community, help these kids out, and get them new equipment.”
Family support and future plans
The idea for the nonprofit has been in development for more than a year, according to the brothers’ mother, Stacy Grant. She said her sons wanted to combine their passion for sports with a desire to serve their hometown. Through We Got Next, the Littletons hope to expand their reach, providing gear to more young athletes across Buffalo and ensuring that financial circumstances do not limit a child’s ability to play.
In addition to equipment donations, the organization plans to partner with local schools, youth leagues, and businesses to create a network of support. The brothers envision a future where every child who wants to step onto a field or court can do so with confidence, regardless of family income.
How to help
We Got Next welcomes community involvement. Those interested in supporting the cause can contact the organization via email at [email protected]. Contributions may include monetary donations, new or gently used sports gear, or volunteer time to assist with equipment drives and distribution events.
By addressing a basic need—proper equipment—the Littleton brothers aim to foster a healthier, more active youth population and strengthen the bonds that sports create within Buffalo neighborhoods.
