Russell County Emergency Management announced Tuesday that the body of a man who vanished during a weekend boat collision on Lake Cumberland has been recovered. The discovery was made around 2 p.m. by search and rescue teams operating out of the county’s emergency response unit.

According to Chief Chris Money of the Russell County Search and Rescue team, the incident occurred Saturday morning at approximately 11 a.m. Two bass‑fishing boats were idling on the water when one vessel suddenly rode over the other. The impact forced two men from the struck boat into the lake.
