Early Voting Begins Wednesday in Oklahoma – Key Races and Ballot Measures Highlighted

Oklahoma residents eager to make their voices heard can head to the polls starting Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. for early voting. The early‑voting window runs Wednesday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., giving voters ample opportunity to review the ballot and submit their choices before Election Day.

Governor’s Race

The governor’s contest features five candidates, representing the major parties and independent voices:

  • Mike Mazzei (R)
  • Cyndi Munson (D)
  • Robert Brooks (I)
  • Orlando Lynn Brooks (I)
  • Jerry Griffin (I)

Republican candidate Mike Mazzei is positioned as a pro‑business, pro‑family leader who emphasizes traditional values and limited government. Democratic challenger Cyndi Munson highlights education reform and healthcare access, while the independent candidates bring a range of local concerns to the race.

U.S. Senate Seat

Voters will also decide who will fill the U.S. Senate seat vacated by former DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin. The field includes:

  • Kevin Hern (R)
  • N’Kiyla “Jasmine” Thomas (D)
  • Sevier White (I)
  • Orlando Lynn Brooks (I)
  • Curtis Stinnett (I)

Kevin Hern, a Republican, stresses his support for strong national defense, economic growth, and protecting constitutional freedoms. The Democratic nominee, N’Kiyla Thomas, focuses on expanding opportunity for working families.

2nd Congressional District

In Oklahoma’s 2nd Congressional District, incumbent Representative Josh Brecheen (R) seeks re‑election against Democratic challenger Brandon Wade and independent Ronnie Hopkins. Brecheen’s record includes advocating for agricultural interests, defending the Second Amendment, and supporting policies that bolster family stability.

State Questions on the Ballot

Two statewide measures will appear on the November ballot:

  • State Question 845 – Proposes changes to the Oklahoma Judicial Nominating Commission, altering how members are selected and potentially increasing transparency in the judicial appointment process.
  • State Question 847 – Would lower assessment caps for property taxes beginning in 2027, limiting the annual increase in a property’s assessed value and providing tax relief for homeowners.

Both measures align with conservative principles of limited government and fiscal responsibility, offering voters a chance to shape the state’s legal and tax landscape.

How to Vote

Residents can verify their polling place and view a sample ballot by visiting the Oklahoma Voter Portal. Early‑voting sites are located throughout the state, ensuring convenient access for urban and rural communities alike.

With a full slate of races and two important state questions, early voting provides Oklahoma’s faithful families and patriotic citizens the opportunity to exercise their constitutional right to vote and influence the direction of their state and nation.
