Cassie Ventura Seeks Venue Change in Legal Battle After Testifying Against Diddy

Cassie Ventura, known for her music career, has requested a venue change in an ongoing legal battle following her testimony against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. Ventura, who testified last summer in Diddy’s sex crimes trial, has filed a motion to transfer a lawsuit involving her and former male escort Clayton Howard from California to New York courts. Howard’s lawsuit alleges ‘sexual exploitation, trafficking, and abuse’ over a decade involving Diddy and his ex-girlfriend.

Legal Proceedings and Testimonies

Ventura, who no longer resides in the United States, argues that New York is a more suitable venue for the case. She points out that many related cases are already pending in New York, and the corporate defendants are incorporated there. Additionally, Ventura highlights that relevant witnesses are likely to be in or near New York City.

In her motion, Ventura stated, ‘Plaintiff is a resident of New Jersey and can easily travel to New York City. Ms. Ventura does not reside in the United States, but it is more convenient for her to travel to New York than California.’ She also emphasized that her lawyers are based in New York, making it more practical for her to participate in the case there.

Background and Personal Life

Ventura, who married Alex Fine in 2019, recently gave birth to her third child. Her testimony against Diddy included allegations of rape and physical abuse, with incidents dating back to 2016. Despite the serious nature of the charges, Diddy was found not guilty of racketeering and sex trafficking but was convicted on lesser charges related to prostitution.

The trial concluded with Diddy receiving a sentence of over four years, which he is currently serving at FCI Fort Dix. Ventura’s legal actions continue as she seeks justice and resolution in the ongoing cases linked to her experiences.
