Owens Corning’s Women’s Leadership Summit in Toledo Fosters Growth and Community

Owens Corning recently hosted its annual Women’s Leadership Summit at the Glass City Center in downtown Toledo, Ohio. This year’s event, themed “Clarity + Courage = Growth,” was designed to empower women through both professional and personal development opportunities. The summit, presented by Welltower, aimed to equip attendees with tools and inspiration applicable to their careers and personal lives, while also fostering leadership growth and community connections.

Empowering Women in Toledo

Judd Silverman, director of the Greater Toledo Golf Classic Tournament, emphasized the summit’s dual focus on professional and personal development. “I think the steering committee looks at this as a professional and personal development day,” Silverman stated, highlighting the event’s goal of leaving attendees with a meaningful message to improve some aspect of their lives.

Since its inception in 2017, the summit has grown significantly, with attendance rising from about 100 women in its first year to approximately 600 participants this year. This growth reflects the increasing interest and need for such empowering events within the community.

Supporting Local Charities

Beyond personal and professional development, the summit also plays a vital role in supporting local children’s charities across northwest Ohio. This commitment to community service underscores the event’s broader impact beyond individual growth, contributing to the welfare of the local community.

The Women’s Leadership Summit continues to be a beacon of empowerment and community support in Toledo, aligning with the values of fostering strong neighborhoods and supporting families.
