Fort Bend school boundary changes, Clear Creek superintendent retirement and other South Houston updates

Fort Bend ISD’s board of trustees voted on October 5 to reshape secondary school boundaries for the 2027‑28 school year. The plan will rezone roughly 1,744 students to ease overcrowding at Elkins, Austin and Travis high schools. Middle‑school boundaries were also adjusted, passing 6‑1 with trustee Adam Schoof dissenting.
