Responding promptly, a police unit arrived at the intersection of Manuel J. Clouthier Avenue and Hiedra Street in the Juárez Nuevo neighborhood. The individual, who was waiting inside his vehicle, expressed his desire to surrender a 7.62 x 54 caliber rifle voluntarily.

Officers provided the necessary security and escort services, accompanying the man to the exchange center located at the intersection of Septiembre Avenue and Ignacio Mariscal Street in the city center. Upon arrival, personnel from the Secretariat of the Interior and the Secretariat of National Defense took possession of the firearm.
